Question 3 of 5
3. Question
Financial information: There are a few levels for financial support. Basic money management allows you to continue being the sole signer on your accounts while someone sits beside you on bill-paying day. An increased level of support would be to set up a convenience or agency account with your bank that allows designated individuals to help deposit, withdraw, or write checks. Convenience or agency accounts do not change the ownership of the money in the account or give the designate the right to keep the money when you die. Most banks will require you to complete a Durable Power of Attorney (POA) to set up one of these accounts. Please note that convenience or agency accounts do come with the risk that your designate might withdraw money for their own use. Examples include family members, Durable Power of Attorney, close friends, and agents. How does the definition change to fit your needs?
